Sometimes i can get them on by flipping the light switch off and on several times and out of the three maybe one will only come on. One way to eliminate the problem of dim or flickering fluorescent lights that are controlled by a motion detector is to have the motion detector trigger a small 120 volt control relay and have the light fixture controlled through the contacts of the control relay not the motion detector. What we ve seen over the last few years with the challenges of properly dimming leds are simply growing pains and fortunately as an industry we appear to be past a lot of the significant problems. Consider the steps to fix the problem.

This is one of the concerning problems with the fluorescent lights. When one or more fluorescent light fixtures are humming or flickering or if the light simply won t turn on the problem may be something as simple as a bad fluorescent bulb. There were issues dimming fluorescent lamps in the early days of that technology just like led lamps. We ve had problems for years we are fluorescent lights dimming or not coming on at times of high humidity.

Here we suggest the steps to follow to determine if the problem is a loose bulb or lamp or a defective one that needs to be replaced.
