Front Door Walks Into Kitchen

Any thoughts or design ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Front door walks into kitchen.

We too have to walk out of the kitchen and through the living room to reach the grill. That is i think undesirable on various different levels. Just wondering if anyone has seen a layout of opening your front door and walking directly into your dining area kitchen. There is a door that leads to the kitchen from the dining room so everyone that walks in can see my stove right away.

Avoid placing the kitchen close to the front door. Regardless of whether they see the kitchen upon entering the front door in ten steps they will be standing right in the middle of it. You enter the house in a foyer and the dining room is on the right. My kitchen is on the front of the house.

This applies only to a floor plan where you literally come into the home through the kitchen. I am wanting to renovate my long house but not sure how it will look walking straight into the kitchen dining area then on to the lounge area. I think the bigger concern is that after entering the house visitors have no choice but to walk directly into the kitchen. The worst feng shui positioning of a kitchen is one in which the front door enters directly into the kitchen and the kitchen is the first space viewed.
